Jean-Honore Fragonard, born 1732 - died 1806; was a French Rococo painter and printmaker. One of the most prolific painters during the Ancien Regime. Best known for his hedonistic scenes. Even though he lived a little bit longer than till 1799 but after the French Revolution, when most of his patrons were dead, he was almost completely forgotten. But now he is considered one of the best French painters.
